The archaeological discoveries of the Roman and Etruscan sites in the mid 18th century, inspired a revival of the type of jewelry discovered, characterized by granulation, twisted gold wire and filigree techniques. This lovely necklace shows this influence in the wire-work gold beads used decoratively between the plain gold beads and the faceted amethysts. The perfect accent piece to wear with jeans and a tee or over a sweater. Beads are hollow and a few have minor dents hardly noticeable to the naked eye.
